Lincoln City Football Club Books Unfortunately there are a shortage of books
about Lincoln City FC, we could only find these. Ranked
in no particular order other than for spacing, click the
link to find out more details. By Grahame Lloyd One Hell of a Season: Imps, Pilgrims and Tales of the Unexpected charts the extraordinary progress of these Lincolnshire rivals during the ground-breaking 2002-03 campaign when two teams instead of one were relegated. An incredible season is re-lived through the eyes of the people at the two clubs - from the chairmen to the players to the tea ladies. As well as revealing details of the contract irregularities scandal, the book is a pot pourri of weird and wonderful stories about boardroom and budget battles, managerial bust-ups, racist and drunken behaviour, an end-of-season bonus dispute and epileptic fits...not to mention nerve-wracking performances on the pitch. --------------- Lincoln City FC - The Official History - Buy By Ian & Donald Nannestad Published in October 1997, this is the second best book solely about Lincoln City FC. Admittedly there are only two books but don't worry about that! Charts season by season history covering results, goalscorers, players and managers alike. The final season covered is the 1996/97 season so it is a little out of date but still a good buy. --------------- The Ultimate Drop - Buy By George Rowlands The theme of the book is relegation from the
Football League. Lincoln City became the first club to be
automatically relegated from the Football League, back in
the 1986/87 season. Since then many others have followed
Lincoln and each team has a chapter of this book devoted
to their experiences. |
