Owain Warlow is an
18-year-old left sided winger from Treforest in
Wales. The Forgotten Imp, without wanting to
create pressure on Warlow, has heard some good
things about Warlow and he is rated as a very
good prospect for the future.
During the 2005/06
season, he spent time on work experience at
Ilkeston Town, who are managed by former Imps'
trialist Nigel Jemson.
Jemson, at the
time of Warlow's signing enthused: "By all
reports, he (Warlow) is very quick and
can cause lots of problems."
Former Lincoln
City defender Jason Perry is another who is
eagerly following Warlow's progress.
Warlow is
extremely fast and has good skills, which are the
two vital ingredients to create the perfect
winger. His early promise was recognised in
January 2007 when he was called into the Wales
Under-21 squad. In fact he made his dubut for the
Welsh Under-21 team before making his debut at
club level. Warlow's promise has already shown
through and he was named as the Lincoln City FC's
Young Player of the Season for 2006/07.
Unfortunately, the
2007/08 season did not go as expected for Warlow
and he struggled to make an impact on the first
team although there were plenty of substitute
appearances. The 2008/09 seems a crucial one if
Warlow is to make it as a professional player.
