Grimsby
Town 3 Lincoln City 0
28th December 2005
Lincoln City were little match on Wednesday evening for
their Lincolnshire counterparts from Grimsby. However,
there is much debate as to whether the match should never
have taken place, as various media reports state that the
pitch looked barely playable in parts.
Many of Lincoln's supporters had chosen not to travel
despite having already bought their tickets, as the roads
to Grimsby were simply too dangerous because of the snow
and ice.
Those supporters who did travel should be congratulated
on their endeavours to cheer their team on.
Unfortunately, their team failed to repay those
travelling fans with a win.
Even more unfortunate is that The Forgotten Imp did not
attend the game, so rather than pretend, here is a link
to a match report from the Official Lincoln City site.
The usual match report will return on The Forgotten Imp's
site for the Darlington match.
