McAuley To
Leicester?

Leicester City are the latest club to be linked with
Lincoln City defender Gareth McAuley.
It now seems certain that McAuley will leave Lincoln in
January, as further attempts by Imps' boss Keith
Alexander to begin talks with McAuley's agent over a new
contract have stalled.
Earlier this month, Alexander publicly stated that
McAuley's advisors are keen to play a wait and see tactic
regarding contract talks. Alexander's response to this
was to state that Lincoln will try and sell McAuley in
January. With no contact forthcoming, it is becoming
increasing likely that McAuley is playing his last few
games for Lincoln City.
Other clubs linked to the Northern Ireland international
are Doncaster Rovers, Crewe Alexandra, Huddersfield Town,
Stoke City and Nottingham Forest. Of those clubs, it was
reported in the Huddersfield area that Town scouted
McAuley during Lincoln's 2-2 draw with Macclesfield.
