Imps Res 1
Scunthorpe Res 0
11th January 2006
Lincoln City's reserves played their first match for six
weeks this afternoon, when they played Scunthorpe
United's reserve at Ashby Avenue.
Both sides fielded relatively familiar sides, but it was
Lincoln who won this match 1-0. The only goal of the game
came in the 55th minute from Lee Frecklington. However,
Lincoln were indebted to goalkeeper Simon Rayner, who
made a couple of good saves, as Steve Torpey, Andy Parton
and Ritchie Ryan all had good opportunities to score.
Included in Lincoln's side was Steve Robinson, who was
playing his first competitive game for Lincoln for over
two months.
