Keates
Granted Wish
17th January 2006
As The
Forgotten Imp
revealed on Saturday, midfielder Dean
Keates has
indeed submitted a written transfer request and as we
revealed yesterday, there was a meeting yesterday
afternoon to discuss his request.
Unfortunately, we can now tell you that Keates' transfer
request has been granted following yesterday's meeting
between Imps' boss Keith Alexander and the club's board.
Alexander confirmed: "Dean is going through a very
difficult time in his personal life at the moment and we
must respect his wishes."
So far, only Walsall have been linked to Keates, so a
move might not materialise because Walsall are reportedly
reluctant to pay Lincoln's £25,000 valuation of Keates.
So far, Keates has made 24 appearances for Lincoln,
scoring 4 goals since he joined in July 2005.
