Striker
Departs The Imps
27th January 2006
Omari Coleman has agreed a severance deal to leave
Lincoln City FC with immediate effect.
Coleman joined Lincoln in July 2005 on a one-year
contract, following his release from Watford. His move to
Lincoln was hailed as the fresh start, as he had suffered
bad luck at Watford.
In summer 2004, he joined Watford from non-league Dulwich
Hamlet in a dream transfer but unfortunately, he suffered
a bad injury forcing him to miss five months, and he
later left Watford without making a first team
appearance.
Despite being due some good luck, Coleman's career
reviving move to Lincoln City was practically over within
weeks of him joining The Imps, as his wife was involved
in a serious car accident. This forced him to seek a move
nearer to his London home, and he joined Aldershot on
loan in October 2005.
In November, he joined Gravesend & Northfleet on a
month's loan, which was renewed in late December for a
further month. Now, his loan at Gravesend has expired,
but they have already expressed an interest in signing
Coleman in a permanent transfer.
