Former Lincoln City FC midfielder Dean Keates is
celebrating becoming a father.
Last week, Keates' wife gave birth to a baby girl. They
have chosen to give their new daughter the name Ellie.
In a minor second celebration, Keates scored his first
goal on Saturday since signing for Walsall, but he was
unable to prevent his new side from losing 2-1 to
Scunthorpe.
Last month, Keates was released by Lincoln City via
mutual consent, with his pregnant wife and travelling
cited as the reasons for leaving.
Overall, he made 24 appearances for Lincoln, and scored 4
excellent goals for the club. Unfortunately, his
disciplinary record at Lincoln was a problem, as he
missed seven games through suspension.
