Player On
Trial
22nd February 2006
Lincoln City handed Eastwood Town's Adie Francis a trial
in today's reserve match against Grimsby Town.
This is the second time that 20-year-old Francis has
undertaken a trial for Lincoln, with his first being
several seasons ago.
Francis, who is a striker and a graduate of Eatswood's
academy, has scored three times in 27 appearances for the
non-league club this season. This compares with former
Imps' striker Adam Kerley, who has scored 11 goals during
just 17 appearances for Eastwood.
Also playing for Eastwood is former Imps' player Niall
McNamara, who has made just 9 appearances this season. In
September, he suffered a broken leg but made his first
team comeback last week.
Meanwhile, current Imps' left-back Paul Mayo is expected
to play against Grimsby this afternoon, as he attempts to
regain his match fitness following a month long injury.
