Lincoln City youth team striker Leon Mettam has left
Sincil Bank to join non-league Ilkeston Town on loan.
Current Imps' boss Keith Alexander is a former Ilkeston
manager and still has dealings with the club. Earlier
this season, he loaned striker Ollie Ryan to Ilkeston,
who spent several months at the Derbyshire club before
returning to Sincil Bank.
Last Saturday, Mettam came on as a 38th minute substitute
during Ilkeston's 1-0 victory over Farsley Celtic.
Although he failed to score, another ex-Imp did, as
Martin Carruthers scored the decisive goal.
Mettam is on the fringes of a first team place at Sincil
Bank, having made his Imps' debut at Mansfield on January
2nd.
