Hughes
Agrees New Deal
25th February 2006
Lincoln City's Jeff Hughes has pledged his future to the
club, as predicted last Sunday by The
Forgotten Imp.
The new contract caps a significant turnaround for
Hughes, who nearly quit Lincoln earlier this season.
Fortunately, despite being homesick, he persevered and
has been rewarded.
Not only has Hughes become a first team player at Lincoln
but his good form has, this year, already earnt him two
Northern Ireland Under-21 caps. More caps are expected to
follow as the year progresses.
Thankfully, unless Hughes is sold, he will receive this
international recognition while at Lincoln City.
Yesterday, he officially accepted a two-year extension to
his contract that expired in June 2006.
