Yeo Targets
May
23rd March 2006
A fairy tale ending could be planned for Lincoln City
striker Simon Yeo, who is currently injured.
Last Saturday, Yeo was injured during Lincoln's defeat at
Boston United. Those present at the match originally
feared that he had suffered a broken leg or ankle.
However, more positive news later emerged that neither
was broken but that he would require a scan before the
extent of the injury could be revealed.
Yeo has now undertaken this scan and it has shown that he
has a tear to his medial ligament in his right knee. This
will require a rest period of around six weeks to heal.
In six weeks time, it will be May, with the season's
final league games taking place on May 6th. So
theoretically, Yeo could yet play another league match
for Lincoln during the 2005/06 season. However, could a
fairy tale return be on the cards? Should Lincoln reach
the play-offs without Yeo then could destiny decree that
he returns from injury to score the winning goal in the
Play-off final? Or is that a dream too far? Only time
will tell !
