Stimson Out
Of Imps' Running
28th May 2006
One of the latest names to declare an interest in the
vacant Lincoln City's manager job is already out of the
running.
On Friday, former Grays Athletic manager Mark Stimson
spoke to the Lincolnshire Echo about the post.
The story appeared in Saturday's edition of the
Lincolnshire Echo. However, Stimson was out of the
running practically before the ink had dried on the
newspaper. Instead, Stimson has signed a three-year
contract with Conference club Stevenage Borough.
Stimson is a relatively inexperienced manager but is also
considered a bright managerial talent. His reputation
was gained by transforming Grays from a minor non-league
club to one that qualified for the Conference play-offs
for a place in the Football League.
Although unsuccessful in the play-offs, Grays did win the
FA Trophy for the second consecutive season.
