Former Lincoln City manager Keith Alexander is already
coming under criticism from Peterborough United's
supporters even before United have kicked a ball under
his charge!
Peterborough's supporters are publicly fearing that they
will be subjected to "ugly long-ball football"
next season. This has provoked an angry response from
Alexander.
A fed-up Alexander said: "I admit that in my first
season at Lincoln, it was all about survival and we did
what was necessary to stay in the Football League before
ending up in the play-offs anyway.
"We continued to be successful at Lincoln, but we
did it by playing entertaining, attacking football."
We will leave Lincoln City's supporters to ponder whether
Alexander's players take two tactics on to the pitch or
merely "hoof and goal"!
