Out On Hartlepool Midfielder

first revealed on May 12th, Lincoln City were tracking
Hartlepool United midfielder Darrell Clarke. Now, we can
also tell you that Clarke will not be joining Lincoln
City.
Perhaps, following the departure from Lincoln City of
manager Keith Alexander, this is somewhat academic
anyway. However, Alexander had been keen to sign Clarke,
whose Hartlepool contract was due to expire.
Alexander had previously worked with Clarke at Mansfield
Town, where Clarke had scored 28 goals in 183 games.
However, neither Lincoln City nor Peterborough United
will sign Clarke, as he has instead agreed a new contract
at Hartlepool.
