Imps At The Double!

21st July 2006

Lincoln City FC played two matches on Thursday evening, which included a Lincolnshire Senior Cup semi-final, and won both matches.

The Imps travelled to county rivals Grimsby Town for the LSC semi-final. The final score was 2-0 to Lincoln, thanks to two goals from Ollie Ryan.

Both teams fielded a mix of professionals and youth teamers, with Grimsby including Peter Beagrie, who has recently joined Town from Scunthorpe United.

Both of Lincoln's goals were initiated by defensive errors, with Ryan scoring in the 31st and 64th minutes.

Lincoln City will now play Scunthorpe United in the LSC Final, which will take place later in the season - the date is yet unknown.
