A Boardroom
Return For Freeman?
2nd August 2006
The fall out from January 2006 continues to land on
Sincil Bank, as yesterday, two former directors announced
plans for a bid to take control of the club.
Ex-directors Keith Roe and Ray Trew left the club in the
wake of the January decision to place then Lincoln City
FC manager Keith Alexander on leave. After six months of
behind the scenes happenings, both men have now put
forward a legal proposal that could see Lincoln City FC
receive a £1 million cash boost.
Mr. Trew confirmed: "Full details will be made
available, however some of the exciting plans include up
to £1 million pounds of cash being made immediately
available."
Mr. Roe and Mr. Trew have issued a press statement and
intend to issue a 21-page document to shareholders by
Thursday.
If successful, the group would appoint legendary striker
Percy Freeman as a non-executive director. Further
details on this story can be found here courtesy of the Lincolnshire
Echo.
