Kemp To
Sheffield United?
25th September 2006
Apparently, according to one Sunday newspaper, Sheffield
United are interested in signing Lincoln City's defender
Tom Kemp when the transfer window reopens in January.
Presently the rumour is unconfirmed but Kemp is
highly-rated by Lincoln City. Currently, he is enjoying a
loan spell at Conference club Tamworth where - after a
shaky start - he has established himself a first team
regular alongside former Imp Simon Weaver.
First year professional Kemp is a product of two youth
academies, so Lincoln City FC cannot actually claim all
the credit for his development. He began his training at
Derby County but felt that his chances would be limited
by Derby's highly-rated Tom Huddlestone. With that in
mind, all parties agreed a deal whereby Kemp joined
Lincoln City's youth academy.
