City Lose
Three Players - Oh No They Don't!
3rd October 2006
Lincoln City are going to be at least three players light
for the next few weeks after intense transfer activity.
The first player who has left is loanee Nicky Eaden as
Lincoln City have decided against extending his loan.
This is despite Eaden being ever present and scoring a
debut goal during his loan period from Nottingham Forest. Update
- Nicky Eaden has now extended his loan spell at Lincoln
City!
Next to leave is midfielder Jamie Sherlock, who has
joined Ilkeston Town on loan. Sherlock has become one of
several forgotten men at Sincil Bank, after joining The
Imps in March from Gainsborough Trinity. Sherlock has yet
to start a match for Lincoln City but has been named as
an unused substitute on several occasions.
Another forgotten man is Luke Foster, who impressed many
last season when he played in midfield despite being a
central defender. Foster has found it impossible to break
into the current Imps side so has decided to join
Conference club York City for two weeks of training. At
the end of the two weeks, York will decide whether to
take Foster on loan.
Meanwhile, Ryan Semple's loan move to Chester City has
been held up by injury, according to Chester manager Mark
Wright.
Wright confirmed: 'I believe he (Semple) has got a bit of an injury so
I don't particularly want to be signing anybody that's
injured.
'Certainly, the deal has been agreed and we can bring him
here.'
