Lincoln 2
Hartlepool 0
7th October 2006
Lincoln City produced one of their best performances of
the season to end Hartlepool United's run of good form.
Previously to this match, Hartlepool had scored 12 goals
in three matches - all of which had ended as victories.
The form of Hartlepool had earnt their manager Danny
Wilson the League Two Manager of the Month Award.
Not for the first time, the curse of that award struck
when Lincoln overcame their opponents 2-0 at Sincil Bank
on Friday.
Lincoln's first goal was scored by Jamie Forrester from
25-yards out after he was passed to by Mark Stallard in
the 39th minute. It became 2-0 in the 59th minute when
the unmarked Jeff Hughes scored from a Nicky Eaden cross.
