Round Up (5/11)
Stockport
County 2 Lincoln City 0
5th November 2006
Stockport County recorded a 2-0 victory over Lincoln City
on Saturday afternoon. The result means that the curse of
the Manager Of The Month award has struck again, as Imps'
Head Coach John Schofield was earlier this week named as
the League Two Manager of the Month for October.
Lincoln were unlucky not to take the lead when a shot
from Mark Stallard hit the crossbar. However, there was
only ever one likely winner after Stockport took the lead
in the 56th minute via a Michael Rose free-kick. Their
second goal came in injury time from Michael Malcolm.
Meanwhile, forgotten Imps' defender Luke Foster has
extended his loan at York City by a second month. Foster
has been out of favour at Sincil Bank this season despite
impressing many during last season.
