Kell Sits
Out Bristol Rovers Match
5th December 2006
Lincoln City entertained Bristol Rovers on Tuesday
evening, with one player unexpectedly failing to make his
Imps' debut.
The player in question is former Scunthorpe United
midfielder Richard Kell, who has joined Lincoln City on a
one month contract. Kell has been without a club since
leaving Barnsley at the end of last season. Many
supporters expected him to start this fixture but a
fit-again Scott Kerr regained his midfield place instead.
However, Kell was not missed, as Lincoln ended a run of
poor form by defeating in-form Bristol Rovers by a 1-0
scoreline. The only goal of the game came from the
penalty spot after Jamie Forrester had been fouled by
Stuart Elliott. Forrester picked himself up and took
responsibility to send a powerful right-foot shot into
the goal for 1-0.
