Lincoln City FC kept pace with their promotion rivals on
Saturday via a 1-0 victory over Barnet at Sincil Bank.
The game was comfortable for Lincoln although they lacked
the finishing touch. Fortunately, midfielder Lee
Frecklington was able to score when a 50th minute
throw-in eventually reached him and he scored from
20-yards out.
Lincoln gave a debut to their new loan signing Junior
Mendes, who has joined from Notts County. Mendes, who has
joined Lincoln to gain first team football, made a steady
debut but missed several opportunities to score a debut
goal. 30-year old Mendes began his career with Chelsea.
