Five To Leave Imps
21st May 2007
Five players are to leave Lincoln City FC when their
contracts expire at the end of June.
Twelve players were today sweating on their future, as
John Schofield delivered his retained list. Of these
twelve, only five have been released which is a little
surprising. The five who have not been offered new
contracts are Martin Gritton, Leon Mettam, Simon Rayner,
Andy Toyne and Tom Wilkinson. According to sources in
Devon, both Rayner and Gritton are being linked with a
return to Torquay United, although the situation remains
complex at Torquay due to recent boardroom and managerial
changes.
The seven players who have been offered new deals are:
Ryan Amoo (offered 2 year contract)
Shane Clarke (offered 1 year contract)
Ayden Duffy (offered 1 year contract)
Paul Mayo (offered 1 year contract)
Ollie Ryan (offered 6 month contract)
Owain Warlow (offered 2 year contract)
Phil Watt (offered 1 year contract)
As yet, all seven have still to agree to their contracts,
so further departures could happen.
In addition to the seven players, MASE scholar Jack
Cotton has been offered a one year professional contract.
