Imps In Peterborough Raid?

Lincoln City FC are today being linked with a raid on Peterborough United for a trio of players.

The trio involved are Richard Butcher, Danny Crow and Ben Futcher. However, the validity of this transfer rumour is in part in question, even though all three players have been told that their futures lie away from Peterborough United.

Former Imp Futcher looks set to join Mansfield Town after he held transfer talks with the League Two club.

Butcher, who is also another former Lincoln City player, is subject of enquiries from four clubs although the clubs involved have not been named.

Today's edition of the Lincolnshire Echo has Imps' Director of Football John Deehan expressing his interest in Crow. Unfortunately, Deehan believes that Lincoln could be priced out of the race to sign Crow as Peterborough require a fee for the player. The good news is that Peterborough have released information stating that only one club have so far officially enquired about Crow and that club is an unnamed League Two club - so it could well be that Lincoln are the only club in the current running for Crow.
