Neil Redfearn Pens Book

25th May 2007

Neil Redfearn has joined an unique club by becoming one of the few former Lincoln City FC players to have written his autobiography!

Redfearn's book is entitled "There's Only One Neil Redfearn!" and can be bought from
here* at a discount price. Included in the book is Redfearn's account of his time at Lincoln City and he lifts the lid on his controversial departure to Doncaster Rovers back in August 1986. Redfearn had joined Lincoln two years previously from Bolton Wanderers and had made 124 appearances for The Imps, scoring 14 goals.

The synopsis to his book reads: "Neil Redfearn is a man dedicated to - some might say obsessed by - football. He's just about the last of the generation of players who began near the bottom, made it to the top and then moved back down the ladder again. He has seen promotion to the Premiership (with Barnsley and Oldham Athletic) and relegation from the Football League (with Halifax Town); made nearly 1000 senior appearances over a quarter of a century and scored just short of 200 goals.

"He talks about the managers he has played for - including Brian Clough, Alan Curbishley and Joe Royle - as well as some he hasn't: Arsene Wenger once described him as the dirtiest player in the Premiership. Still playing past the age of 40 and poised to move into full-time management, Neil Redfearn has a unique perspective on what it's like when football literally becomes your life."

*Play are also offering a shed of other items for only £5 - see the banner above for full details of this not to be missed promotion. Or alternatively please click the links to view cheap merchandise for Barnsley, Bolton Wanderers, Halifax Town, Lincoln City or Oldham Athletic football clubs.
