Notts County Sign SWD

Lincoln City FC have been dealt a huge transfer blow this morning, after Spencer Weir-Daley decided to sign for divisional rivals Notts County.

Weir-Daley had been high on the wanted list of Imps' Head Coach John Schofield. However, the transfer was complicated as Weir-Daley's current club Nottingham Forest were entitled to a compensation fee after they offered him a new contract. Instead, Weir-Daley has signed a two-year contract with County.

Weir-Daley had become a fans' favourite at Sincil Bank earlier this year when he scored five goals in eleven appearances, while on loan from Nottingham Forest.
