News Round-up (14/7)
14th July 2007
Little has been happening at Sincil Bank recently,
leaving supporters to speculate about future signings.
One player who could be joining Lincoln in the near
future is Darlington striker Jullian Joachim. It is
believed that Joachim would cost around £50,000 but as
yet, no firm bid has been made by Lincoln City. Grimsby
Town were also rumoured to be interested in Joachim but
Grimsby manager Alan Buckley has dismissed the rumour.
A player who is looking less likely to join is Leicester
City left-back Alan Sheehan, who was wanted by Lincoln
City on a season's long loan. A week last Friday, Sheehan
asked for further time to think over the transfer.
One player who will definitely be here next season is
utility player Ryan Amoo, who has agreed a new two-year
contract with Lincoln City FC. Amoo was one of six
players offered new contracts at the end of the season.
So far there is no word whether Shane Clarke, Ayden
Duffy, Ollie Ryan or Phil Watt have accepted their deals.
Alas, promising youngster Owain Warlow has rejected his
new two-year contract but remains at Sincil Bank on a
week-to-week contract.
