Double Away Joy?
7th December 2007
Lincoln City head to Hereford United on Saturday in the
hope of claiming successive away victories.
Now appears to be a good time to face promotion chasing
Hereford, as The Bulls have various injury worries ahead
of the match. On the downside, Hereford are currently
unbeaten in nine league and cup matches.
Lincoln hope to have Adie Moses fit for the trip.
However, if he is fit, he will face a battle to regain
his place in the starting line-up as his replacement
Bencherif played his part in Lincoln's 3-1 away victory
at Stockport County on Tuesday evening.
Lincoln took the lead in the 50th minute when Ben Wright
converted Dany N'Guessan's pass. Three minutes later,
Lincoln's other winger, Owain Warlow supplied the cross
for Wright to make it 2-0. That should have been game
over, especially as Stockport had Adam Proudlock
dismissed in the 70th minute. Alas, Lincoln switched off
for a minute and found themselves conceding a goal in the
83rd minute. Disappointingly, the goal came immediately
after a Lincoln City attack.
Thankfully, Lincoln were able to restore their two goal
lead just sixty seconds later when youth teamer Lennell
John-Lewis superbly finished to score his first ever goal
for Lincoln City FC.
