Do Imps Plan New Investment?
28th April 2008
Could there be new investment into Lincoln City FC?
Current rumours around Lincoln is that within the next
few months, Lincoln City FC are expected to announce new
investment into the club. Only time will only tell
whether this rumour proves correct or not; lets hope it
is.
The rumour has been fuelled by the announcement of an
Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on May 29th to vote
on the ability of the club to issue shares to current and
prospective shareholders alike. In order to pave the way
for any new investment, there has to be a vote to remove
a previous vote that blocked the issuing of new shares
without first offering the same amount to all current
shareholders. Obviously, this would be a costly and time
consuming operation, hence the need for this EGM, which
has been triggered by the recent sale of Ray Trew's
shares to current Imps' director Chris Travers. In order
to pass the new motion, it requires a 75% agreement.
The EGM is open to all shareholders and will take place
in the Trust suite at 7.30pm on Thursday May 29th 2008.
