15th May 2008
There could be some good news on Thursday May 29th, when
Lincoln City FC hold their Extraordinary General Meeting
(EGM): Peter Jackson could attend!
With fourteen days to go, this is the plan, with Jackson
taking part in the question forum after the EGM ends.
Whether this is optimistic, only time will tell, but
Jackson, according to his wife, is improving each day. In
her latest Echo column, Alison Jackson wrote about
her husband's ability to eat and how they are
successfully reducing his medication.
The EGM has been called on May 29th to enable
shareholders to vote on the ability of the club to issue
shares to current and prospective shareholders alike. In
order to pave the way for any new investment, there has
to be a vote to remove a previous vote that blocked the
issuing of new shares without first offering the same
amount to all current shareholders. Obviously, this would
be a costly and time consuming operation, hence the need
for this EGM, which has been triggered by the recent sale
of Ray Trew's shares to current Imps' director Chris
Travers. In order to pass the new motion, it requires a
75% agreement.
The EGM is open to all shareholders and will take place
in the Trust suite at 7.30pm on Thursday May 29th 2008.
