Former Lincoln City FC goalkeeper Scott Loach is today
celebrating after being named in England's Under-21 squad
for the Under-21 Championships.
Loach
who is now plying his trade at Watford has done exceeding
well during last season, thereby earning his call-up to
the England Under-21 squad. He has already made two
substitute appearances for the England Under-21 squad
since joining Watford.
Loach left Lincoln in a £50,000 deal in June 2006,
without having made a first team appearance for Lincoln.
At the time, Loach was offered professional terms by
Lincoln but opted to join Watford instead. Last season,
Loach became the number one goalkeeper at Watford thereby
earning Lincoln an extra £40,000 in an appearance
related clause.
Watford manager
Brendan Rodgers said: I think everyone at the club
is proud of his (Loach's) progress this season. His
call-up is fully justified.
The Under-21
Championships take place in Sweden between 15th -29th
June.
