Lincoln City FC might be playing in League Two next
season but for of their ex-players, League One could beckon.
Frank Sinclair, who was released by Lincoln last month,
is wanted by newly promoted Wycombe Wanderers. However,
much depends on Wycombe manager Peter Taylor's budget.
Taylor confirmed: Ive
spoken to Frank and he knows Im waiting to see
whats out there and how much its going to
cost.
Sinclair joined Lincoln last summer in what was hailed as
a major coup for The Imps. Unfortunately, a distinct set
of mixed performances from Sinclair saw that prediction
seem laughable. However, in March, Sinclair suddenly
found his form but he was on the verge of making 25
appearances for Lincoln; a figure that would have
triggered a new contract for Sinclair. Instead, Imps'
boss Peter Jackson decided to allow Sinclair to join
Wycombe on loan thereby delaying the decision on his
Lincoln future.
Despite helping Wycombe to win promotion from League Two,
Sinclair was not offered a new contract by Jackson - a
correct decision in TFI's opinion.
