Ryan Semple Joins Gainsborough
6th June 2009
Former Lincoln City winger Ryan Semple is attempting to
improve his career by progressing up the non-league
pyramid by signing for county club Gainsborough Trinity.
Semple spent last season at Deeping Rangers of the United
Counties League after dropping into non-league football
following his release by Lincoln City in January 2008.
Semple made just four appearances for Lincoln City in 18
months.
However, he has enjoyed happier times of late, as despite
being a winger, Semple managed to score thirty goals in
thirty-nine appearances for Deeping Rangers last season.
This made him the joint top scorer in the United Counties
League.
Gainsborough, having watched Semple, have decided to take
a gamble on him for next season.
Semple is the second former Lincoln City player to sign
for Trinity within a week, following their capture of
defender Adie Moses.
