Carling Cup Seedings
11th June 2009
The first significant date of the 2009/10 season is
Tuesday 16th June, when the draw for the first round of
the Carling Cup is made.
There are 70 entrants for this season's first round draw,
with the competition split into north and south groups.
Lincoln City have been drawn in the northern section of
the competition and will begin in the first round of the
cup.
Unfortunately for The Imps, both Newcastle United and
Middlesborough have been given byes into the second
round. However, there are still some good looking ties
available with Derby County, Leeds United, Leicester
City, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion all
potential opponents.

team with one unseeded club.
