Barnsley Drawn In Carling Cup

The draw for the Carling Cup first round has taken place this morning.

The draw was regionalised with Lincoln City being placed in the northern section leading to The Imps been handed a home tie against Championship club Barnsley.

The draw is mixed for Lincoln as there were harder potential opponents in the northern section but Barnsley will provided strong opposition.

Highlights of the first round draw include Football League newcomers Burton Albion being drawn away at Championship high-flyers Reading.
