GARY CROSBY
Gary Crosby - formerly of Lincoln City FCBorn 8th May 1964 in Sleaford.

Lincoln City career: 7 appearances in 1986.

Position: midfield or striker.

Clubs: Lincoln City, Lincoln United, Grantham, Nottm Forest, Grimsby, Huddersfield and Burton Albion.

Gary Crosby was originally an apprentice at Lincoln City FC in 1980 but was deemed too small to fit into City's long-ball tactics, so he joined Lincoln United for the first time in June 1982.

He stayed at United, who were then still a Lincoln League side, until he signed for Grantham Town in a controversial transfer. City were given another chance to sign the now older and more skilful Crosby when he rejoined for the 1986 season. The then Imps' manager George Kerr played him seven times before deciding that he was not good enough and returned him to Grantham where manager Martin O'Neill immediately recommended him to Nottingham Forest. Within two months of leaving City, he was playing for Brian Clough's Forest side in the old First Division. Not particular a good decision by Kerr!

Crosby enjoyed plenty of good times at Forest, where he was an important player alongside the likes of Nigel Clough, Scott Gemmill, Nigel Jemson and Des Walker to name but a few. He also won several medals including a 1990 Football League Cup Winner's medal and 1991 F.A. Cup Runners'-up medal.

He moved to Huddersfield in 1994, where he suffered a number of injuries and never recreated his Forest form on a consistent basis. The 1998/99 season saw Lincoln United achieve a transfer coup with the re-signing of Crosby. However, he only stayed a few months though, as Nigel Clough was appointed Burton Albion player-manager and he quickly made Crosby his assistant-manager.

In January 2009, Nigel Clough moved from Burton Albion to become the new manager of Derby County. Immediately, Crosby followed Clough and was appointed as the new assistant-manager of Derby.

MANUEL "JUNIOR" AGOGO
Manuel Junior Agogo - formerly of Lincoln City Football ClubBorn: 1st August 1979 in Accra, Ghana.

Position: striker.

Lincoln City career: 3 appearances and 1 goal between December 1999 - January 2000.

Previous clubs: Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham, Chester, Chesterfield, Lincoln City, QPR, Barnet, Bristol Rovers and Nottingham Forest.

Junior Agogo signed for Lincoln in December 1999 as cover for the injuries to Lee Thorpe and Gavin Gordon. This loan spell was his fourth at four different clubs during the 1999/2000 season, the other clubs being Oldham, Chester and Chesterfield.

The Ghanaian born striker excited supporters at Sincil Bank, who were already aware of his capabilities as he had scored a wonderful solo goal for Chester at Sincil Bank. Despite Agogo saying he would consider making his move to Lincoln permanent, John Reames sent the striker back to Sheffield Wednesday early. Agogo made his Imps' debut against Shrewsbury in December 1999 and scored in the 1-2 defeat.

He then emigrated to the USA to join the rest of his family and played Major League Soccer. However, he returned to England in summer 2001 and was given a chance by QPR. This failed to work out, and he transferred to non-league football with Barnet. Agogo' s success at Barnet persuaded Bristol Rovers to pay £110,000 for him, where he has continued his goal scoring feats to become one of the best strikers in lower league football. His goals were noticed by Nottingham Forest, who opted to take a gamble on him; a gamble that would pay off as Agogo has become a Nottingham Forest legend by scoring 41 goals in 126 appearances.

After helping Nottingham Forest to win promotion from League One in 2007/08, he made the shock switch to El Zamalek of Eygpt in July 2008.

SIMON WEAVER
Born: 10th December 1977 in Doncaster.

Position: central defender.

Lincoln City career: 101+(0) appearances and 4 goals between May 2002 - December 2004.

Previous clubs: Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster Rovers, Ilkeston, Nuneaton, Lincoln City, Macclesfield Town, Kidderminster, Scarborough, Tamworth, Boston United, King's Lynn and Redditch United.

Simon Weaver's professional career, which began as a trainee at Sheffield Wednesday, has been a series of ups and downs. He left Sheffield Wednesday in August 1998 without making a first team appearance, although he did play two games on loan at Doncaster Rovers the season before his release.

He dropped into non-league football with Ilkeston Town, who were then managed by former Imps' boss Keith Alexander. Weaver then progressed to a higher level when he joined Conference club Nuneaton Borough. He stayed at Nuneaton for around 18 months before they opted to release him at the end of the 2001/02 season.

A stroke of luck followed for Weaver because by this time, Alexander had just been named manager of Lincoln City, who were in dire financial straits. Alexander was forced to hunt for cheap players, so he called upon Weaver, who became a vital part of Lincoln's unlikely heroes of the 2002/03 season.

Unfortunately for Weaver, Lincoln started to stabilise their financial footing and were able to afford better players. This saw Jamie McCombe arrive from Scunthorpe United in March 2004. McCombe immediately displaced Weaver from The Imps' first team, leaving Weaver seeking first team football elsewhere.

In September 2004, Weaver submitted a transfer request after dropping to fifth in line for a first team place. A three-month loan deal with Macclesfield Town was agreed, but midway through this loan period, he left Lincoln to join Kidderminster Harriers on a free transfer.

Overall, Weaver made 101 appearances for Lincoln, scoring four goals. Alas, he failed to recapture the success enjoyed at Lincoln as Kidderminster were relegated from the Football League at the end of the 2004/05 season. Hence, Weaver dropped into the Conference although not with Kidderminster, but with Scarborough, who made him a summer capture.

The 2005-06 season was an extremely difficult one for Scarborough, which culminated in their expulsion from the Conference due to administration. However, Weaver's performances during his 22 appearances for Scarborough that season did earn him an unexpected trial at Bury. However, Bury chose not to follow up their initial interest. After leaving Scarborough he joined Conference club Tamworth. He would later leave Tamworth to join non-league Boston United in December 2007.

Weaver, after failing to agree a new contract at Boston United, joined King's Lynn ahead of the 2008/09 season. He was a first team regular up to December 2008 but lost his place, causing him to switch to Redditch United. His stay at Redditch was brief as Weaver then opted to rejoin Ilkeston Town where he helped them to promotion during the 2008/09 season.

However, Weaver did not stay at Ilkeston for the new season as in May 2009 he was appointed the new manager of Harrogate Town at the relatively young age of 31.
