IAN WILKINS
Ian Wilkins - formerly of Lincoln City Football ClubBorn: 3rd April 1980 in Lincoln.

Position: central defender.

Lincoln City career: 6+(4) appearances between August 1997 - May 2000.

Clubs: Lincoln City, Ballymena, Grantham Town and Lincoln United.

Ian Wilkins was a product of the youth team and one of the few Lincoln born players to make the first team during the 1990's. He found it difficult to become established in the first team despite impressing in the reserve side. His few matches were as cover for injuries but he was often used in friendlies.

Wilkins played in several pre 1999/2000 season friendlies and even captained the side on occasions. First team opportunities were limited, so in April 2000, he joined Irish League club Ballymena on loan. Later that month, it was announced by chairman John Reames that Wilkins would leave Lincoln on a free transfer in May 2000.

After a few months away from football, Wilkins signed for Grantham Town in March 2001. He later joined a large contingent of former Lincoln City FC players at neighbours Lincoln United. However, in June 2007, he rejoined Grantham Town from Lincoln United.

TONY BULLOCK
Born: 18th February 1972 in Warrington.

Position: goalkeeper.

Lincoln City career: 2 appearances between March - May 2001.

Clubs: Leek Town, Barnsley, Macclesfield Town, Lincoln City, Ross County, Dundee United, Gillingham, St. Mirren and Montrose.

Tony Bullock became the seventh goalkeeper to be named in a Lincoln City squad during the 2000/01 season, when he signed from Macclesfield Town in March 2001.

He began his career at Leek Town before Barnsley spotted and signed him for £20,000 in March 1997. He struggled to hold down a regular first team place at Barnsley, so three years later, he returned to his native Cheshire to sign for Macclesfield on a free transfer.

Bullock played more often at Macclesfield but he eventually lost his place, which led to him asking for a transfer in search of first team football. This made for a perfect match as Bullock required first team football and then Lincoln City manager Alan Buckley needed an experienced goalkeeper. Hence in March 2001, Bullock signed for Lincoln on a free transfer until the end of the season.

He left Lincoln when his contract expired and came close to joining Blackpool but the deal fell through. Bullock headed to Scotland to attempt to rejuvenate his career at Ross County. This worked, and Bullock went on to become the first choice goalkeeper at Dundee United of the Scottish Premier League.

Bullock stayed at Dundee United for two seasons before returning to England to play for Gillingham. However, he only stayed at Gillingham for five months before transferring to St. Mirren in January 2006. Eighteen months later, and Bullock was released by St. Mirren; now, he rejoined his former club Ross County, where he became a first team regular.

In January 2009, he transferred to Montrose.

SCOTT WILLIS
Born: 20th February 1982 in Liverpool.

Position: central midfield.

Lincoln City career: 26+(14) appearances and 3 goals between July 2002 and May 2004.

Clubs: Wigan Athletic, Mansfield Town, Carlisle United, Doncaster Rovers, Bamber Bridge, Droylsden, Lincoln City, Hereford United, Leigh RMI and AFC Telford.

Scott Willis began his career as a trainee at Wigan Athletic in August 1999 and later served at Mansfield Town, Carlisle United and Doncaster Rovers. After his release from Carlisle in September 2001, he first joined Bamber Bridge before moving to their UniBond Premier rivals Droylsden on a free transfer.

He made only one Football League appearance prior to joining Lincoln City, which was as a substitute for Carlisle against Luton Town, when he played for six minutes.

Willis' determination endeared him to the Imps' faithful; however, his temper was suspect and this ultimately cost him his place in the side. As well as being threatened with the sack by Imps' manager Keith Alexander, he also received a five match suspension in December 2002 for a reckless challenge during the game with Cambridge United.

In December 2003, he was declared AWOL after going on trial at Stockport County although Lincoln's then acting-manager Gary Simpson later agreed that his earlier declaration of Willis being AWOL was a "misunderstanding".

In February 2004, he joined Conference club Hereford United on loan, in an attempt to impress thereby earning a new contract at Lincoln. Unfortunately, following a breach of club discipline, he was sent back early to Lincoln by Hereford. It was no surprise when he was released in May 2004.

Willis drifted around the non-league scene following his release including Leigh RMI, where he has been known for his goal scoring. He later joined AFC Telford.
