CHRIS DAY
Chris Day - formerly of Lincoln City FCBorn: 28th June 1975 in Whipp's Cross.

Position: goalkeeper.

Lincoln City career: 18 appearances between December 2000 - March 2001.

Previous Clubs: Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Watford, Lincoln City, QPR and Oldham Athletic.

Watford's Chris Day joined Lincoln City in December 2000 on loan, despite a transfer embargo that was in place against Lincoln. The deal was allowed as Football League rules state that a club must have two fit goalkeepers; Lincoln only had one. However, without the help and co-operation of then Watford manager Graham Taylor, whose club agreed to pay nearly all of Day's wages, then the deal would still have fallen through. The loan spell was extended to three months but eventually he returned to Watford in March 2001.

Day began his career at Tottenham before making a £225,000 move across London to Crystal Palace, after just one appearance for Spurs. Day is a former England Under-21 and Youth International and this brought him to the attention of Taylor, who paid £250,000 in August 1997 to secure his services from Palace. He left Watford in May 2001 on a free transfer to join Queens' Park Rangers and would later go on to represent Oldham Athletic.

CHRIS PERKINS
Chris Perkins - formerly of Lincoln City Football ClubBorn: 9th January 1974 in Nottingham.

Lincoln City career: 11+(1) appearances and 1 goal between February - May 2001.

Clubs: Mansfield, Chesterfield, Hartlepool, Lincoln City and Lancaster.

Chris Perkins began his career as a trainee at Mansfield in 1992. However, after two years and just nine appearances, he was given a free transfer. This proved Mansfield's loss and Chesterfield's gain as Perkins quickly established himself in the Chesterfield first team to became a member of the squad that undertook that famous FA Cup run in 1997 when they lost in the semi-final.

That day marked a decline period for Chesterfield, and Perkins was one of the players who suffered, by finding himself on the fringe of the first team. In July 1999, he joined Hartlepool United on a Bosman transfer but things failed to work out and he rejoined Chesterfield for two loan spells. Chesterfield resigned Perkins in a permanent deal in May 2000, and all looked well. However, a change of manager saw Perkins placed on the transfer list.

Perkins joined Lincoln in February 2001, on a short-term contract, which was not extended when it expired in May 2001. He then drifted into non-league football with Lancaster.

ADAM KERLEY
Born: 25th February 1985 in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Position: striker.

Lincoln City career: 0+(2) appearances between July 2004 - May 2005.

Previous clubs: Lincoln City and Spalding United.

Current club: Eastwood Town.

Adam Kerley signed his first ever professional contract in July 2004 when he graduated from Lincoln City's youth team. He was highly rated as he had already featured in The Imps' first squad as an unused substitute while as a youth team player.

Unfortunately, this bright future failed to materialise and he was released a year later after making just two substitute appearances. He also spent a proportion of his first, and only season as a professional, on loan at non-league Spalding United.

He is currently on the books of non-league Eastwood Town, where his goal scoring ratio is attracting the attention of several Football League clubs.
