JAMES DUDGEON
James Dudgeon - formerly of Lincoln City FC Born: 19th March 1981 in Newcastle.

Position: central defender.

Lincoln City career: 24+(2) appearances and 3 goals between November 2000 - May 2001.

Previous clubs: Barnsley, Lincoln City, Worksop Town and Scarborough.

James Dudgeon joined Lincoln City in November 2000 because Lincoln were suffering from a defensive injury crisis. He arrived from Barnsley and looked a very decent and promising young player.

Dudgeon's will to win and determination quickly made him a favourite at Sincil Bank before he returned, as expected, to Barnsley in May 2001.

A permanent transfer was mooted but Lincoln City's finances could not cover the move plus, he was highly rated at Barnsley. Soon after returning to Barnsley, he suffered a bad injury that kept him out for nearly a year. Presumably upon reaching full fitness, he had lost some of his promise because he was released from Barnsley and drifted into non-league football.

He joined Conference National club Worksop Town before switching to then Conference club Scarborough. Overall, Dudgeon is a player who, for whatever reason, has failed to reach the highs that his career should have enjoyed.

ANTHONY HENRY
Anthony Henry - formerly of Lincoln City Football ClubBorn: 13th September 1979 in London.

Position: central defender.

Lincoln City career: 18+(3) appearances and 2 goals between August 1999 - May 2001.

Previous club: West Ham, Northwich Victoria, Lincoln City and Folkestone.

Anthony Henry was a young central defender who made his Football League debut in Lincoln's 2-5 defeat at Mansfield in November 1999. He had spent the summer of 1999 training with Lincoln City where several fine performances encouraged then Imps' manager John Reames to offer him a three-month contract. This contract, in November 1999, was extended by a month before he finally signed a longer deal until June 2001.

Henry was a member of the West Ham United youth squad which won the 1998/99 F.A. Youth Cup. He is a good passer of the ball, which led to Lincoln's management team concluding that midfield was his best position.

As injury ended his 1999/2000 season, he joined Northwich Victoria on loan in November 2000 in a bid to gain match fitness. He was released in May 2001 and drifted into non-league football with Folkestone.

NIALL McNAMARA
Born: 26th January 1982 in Limerick.

Position: midfielder or striker.

Lincoln City career: 5+(10) appearances between August 2003 and December 2004.

Previous clubs: Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Belper Town, Alfreton Town, Lincoln City and Eastwood Town.

Despite only signing a professional contract in August 2003, Niall McNamara was already a familiar name to Lincoln's supporters as he spent the final two months of the 2002/03 season on non-contract terms. The terms of that deal allowed McNamara to be available to play for The Imps if required, otherwise he would continue playing for his current club Belper Town; he was not needed.

The summer of 2003 saw McNamara feature regularly in Lincoln City's pre-season games, scoring several goals, which earnt him a full-time contract.

Irish born McNamara originally began his career at Nottingham Forest as a trainee in August 2000. Forest released him a year later and he joined Notts County where he made four substitute appearances for The Magpies. In April 2002, he was released by County and signed for UniBond First Division club Belper Town.

He remained on the fringe of Lincoln's first team run until injury ended his 2003/04 season in January 2004. He was released in May 2004 but returned in August 2004 on monthly contract. In September 2004 he joined Eastwood Town on loan.

McNamara was eventually released in December 2004 and he went on to join Eastwood Town, where he played alongside his former ex-Imps' team-mates Adam Kerley and Richard Liburd.
