FRANK SINCLAIR
Born: 3rd December 1971 in Lambeth.

Position: centre-half

Lincoln City career: 22+(2) appearances between July 2008 - May 2009.

Clubs: Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City, Burnley, Huddersfield Town, Lincoln City, Wycombe Wanderers and Wrexham.

International career: 28 caps for Jamaica.

Frank Sinclair started his career as a trainee at Chelsea in 1988 before turning professional in May 1990. He spent a short time on loan at West Bromwich Albion during the 1991/92 season where he scored once in six appearances. Upon his return to Chelsea he managed to establish himself in the first team and went on to make 217 appearances and scorer of 11 goals. While playing for Chelsea he was part of the 1997 FA Cup winning team and the 1998 League Cup winning team. He also made several appearances for Jamaica during the 1998 World Cup; in total, he would play 28 times for Jamaica.

Soon after the 1998 League Cup triumph, Sinclair was transferred to Leicester City for £2 million. While at Leicester he managed to score 4 goals but it was own goals that made him more famous, with a couple of spectacular own goals in the closing minutes of the match that cost Leicester points. It was not all bad at Leicester, as he collected another League Cup winners' medal, this time in the Final of 2000.

Unfortunately, his time at Leicester City was over shadowed by off-the-field incidents and after making 194 appearances for Leicester, he was released in June 2004. A few weeks later he signed for Burnley where he made 102 appearances and scored one goal during a three year stay.

His Burnley career was coming to an end by February 2007, so he was allowed to join Huddersfield Town on loan. It was here that he briefly teamed up with his future Lincoln City FC boss Peter Jackson, as Jackson was the Huddersfield manager at the time. Jackson was soon replaced by Andy Ritche but a change of manager did not deter Sinclair from making his loan signing a permanent transfer in May 2007. Yet another change of manager at Huddersfield saw Sinclair released in May 2008 after making 35 appearances for the West Yorkshire club.

Sinclair joined Lincoln on a one-year contract in July 2008 with the option of a further year should he make 25 appearances. However, despite being hailed by Jackson as a star signing, Sinclair failed to show anything out of the ordinary and indeed, was poor during many games. This led to him losing his first team place before regaining it in 2009. In March 2009, Sinclair was looking like a former Premiership footballer and it was this form that earnt him a loan move to Wycombe Wanderers, helping his new club to promotion from League Two.

Despite this feat, Sinclair was correctly released by Lincoln City in May 2009.

Wycombe Wanderers thought about signing Sinclair but opted against it; instead, he joined Conference National club Wrexham in August 2009.

OWAIN WARLOW
Born: 25th October 1987 in Trefforest, Wales.

Position: left winger.

Lincoln City career: 8+(18) appearances between July 2006 - May 2009

Clubs: Lincoln City, Ilkeston Town, Kettering Town and Llanelli.

Owain Warlow is an left sided winger from Trefforest in Wales, who promised much at Lincoln City FC but ultimately failed to deliver.

During the 2005/06 season, he spent time on work experience at Ilkeston Town, who were managed by former Imps' trialist Nigel Jemson.

Jemson, at the time of Warlow's signing enthused: "By all reports, he (Warlow) is very quick and can cause lots of problems."

Former Lincoln City defender Jason Perry is another who is eagerly following Warlow's progress.

Warlow is extremely fast and has good skills, which are the two vital ingredients to create the perfect winger. His early promise was recognised in January 2007 when he was called into the Wales Under-21 squad. In fact he made his dubut for the Welsh Under-21 team before making his debut at club level. Warlow's promise had already shown through and he was named as the Lincoln City FC's Young Player of the Season for 2006/07.

Unfortunately, the 2007/08 season did not go as expected for Warlow and he struggled to make an impact on the first team although there were plenty of substitute appearances. The 2008/09 season seemed a crucial one if Warlow was to make it as a professional player. He began it on loan at Conference club Kettering Town but made just four appearances.

Warlow returned to Lincoln but was rarely in manager Peter Jackson's plans, therefore it was no surprise when Warlow was released in May 2009. A month later, he signed for Llanelli of the Principality Welsh Premier League.

GARY KING
Born: 27th January 1990 in Grimsby.

Position: striker.

Lincoln City career: 5+(7) appearances and 1 goal between March 2008 - May 2009.

Clubs: Lincoln City, Boston United and Accrington Stanley.

Gary King was tipped for a great future after he made his Lincoln City FC first team debut while still on youth terms. His debut came in March 2008 in Lincoln's 1-0 defeat at home to Stockport County.

He gained a regular first team spot as the season drew to a close, but was preferred in a winger's role rather than his custom striker's position. His reward was a professional contract at the club he had represented since Under-9 level.

Despite King's promise, he was dropped from the first team after the opening month of the 2008/09 season. He failed to regain his place and was subsequently loaned to non-league Boston United in January 2009. His Boston career started brightly but faded and he returned to Lincoln City. Surprisingly though, he was recalled to the first team but failed to make an impression.

It was no surprise when King was released from Lincoln City in May 2009. However, it was a bigger surprise when King was handed a trial at Accrington Stanley in July 2009. He impressed sufficient during Stanley's pre-season to earn a contract at the start of the 2009/10 season.
