| Born: 26th
September 1985 in Boston. Previous club: Ilkeston Town.
Signed: May
2005.
Ollie Ryan
signed professional terms in May 2005, and is
probably the most promising youngster that
Lincoln have produced during the 2004/05 season.
He made his
debut in Lincoln's 3-0 FA Cup defeat at
Hartlepool United in November 2004. Later, he
made several substitute appearances before
turning professional.
October 2005
saw him make his full Lincoln City FC debut and
many thought that he was set for a run in The
Imps' side. However, he was dropped from the team
and later loaned to Ilkeston Town. He has since
been recalled and has been progressed to matchday
substitute.
Ryan is highly
rated by Lincoln City FC's supporters, who are
willing him and Lee Frecklington to succeed at
the club. Ryan, like Frecklington, is likely to
benefit from the elevation of new manager John
Schofield from his role as their former youth
team boss. However, this would not prove case as
Ryan, unlike Frecklington, struggled. He has
since been offered a new six month deal which is
surely make or break for Ryan.
